Hi! I’m Carly :) Your new bestie behind the camera! I am located in Traverse City, Michigan, where I was born and raised, but I am always happy to travel for weddings + elopements. I fell in love with taking pictures at a very young age when I received my first film camera as a gift from my parents and have been obsessed ever since. My goal is to create timeless images that you can cherish forever, images that freeze your favorite moments in time. I’m not just a photographer, but a visual storyteller for loved-up souls.

I was born & raised in Arizona/California, but now based in Las Vegas, Nevada. It’s not my final place, but it’s my home right now. I have always LOVED nature, traveling (open for destination weddings) & being outdoors, so if you’re up for an adventure I’m all in!!

I’m dating a wonderful guy who knows me better than I know myself sometimes (yes, I know that’s cheesy but I like it) & not afraid to tell me anything. He stole my cat, Demitri, from me so we had to adopt 2 new kittens, Luna & Momo, so I could get some kitty cuddles too! I think they know I’m a photographer because they sit so well for photoshoots! My favorite color is forest green & I can’t get enough of crime/drama shows.

I am a HUGE softy for a love story & I would love to hear yours! I always tear up during wedding vows because I can feel the love, & that’s what I want for you & your photographs!! My passion for photography started when I was young & it just kept growing. This isn’t just a job for me, it’s really my life. Hi there!! 

I'm Sammy, AKA the face behind the camera of SM photography! This all started with a 9 year old family shared camera, some friends, hard work, and lots of support! I first began shooting when I was a Freshman in high school, on a borrowed Nikon from my mother. I would take pictures of my friends for fun and eventually it grew into where I am now! I have taken all the classes, workshops, and watched every Youtube video to better myself. Beyond all of that, I consider myself self-taught because I am constantly striving for growth and driven by passion. The key to photography is simply experience, going out and shooting everyday. I could continue to list why I am qualified, but honestly I learn something new and valuable from every session. I will always continue to work on my art and be fueled by my creativity. I have always had a passion for storytelling and I consider photography to be another form of that.

Modern desert meets Texas terrain at Camino Real Ranch.  Prairie grasses, desert succulents and cotton candy sunsets serve as a magical backdrop for your special event.  Our modern desert aesthetic transports you to the wide expanse of West Texas or to the minimalist topography of Baja California,  with the convenience of being minutes from downtown Austin. 

The property has been designed with a minimalist, clean aesthetic that takes full advantage of the region’s ample natural light. The distinct arch of its Quonset Hut welcomes parties for a sophisticated reception. Its bright white color scheme paired with minimal décor (bar some select plant life) allows the room to breathe, highlighting its spaciousness.  Elsewhere, a larger celebration can be held in the climate-controlled greenhouse. The wooden doors of its entrance can be used to frame a sun-kissed outdoor ceremony.  Surrounding the event the couple can relax and unwind in the 1940s farmhouse.  A blend of mid-century modern and vintage design creates a space that is uncommonly stylish, featuring natural materials and polished hardwood floors.  The party can be extended by erecting a tent in the venue’s courtyard or on the 20' tipi terrace.
