Calling all Brides and Grooms of the Capital Region of New York State! I am Reverend Neal Relyea, an Ordained Christian Minister, able to perform just about any type of wedding ceremony (religious, spiritual, not so religious, civil type, etc.) that you wish to have. All of my ceremonies are written in collaboration with the two of you, so your ceremony will be very special. I was ordained seventeen years ago and am currently approaching my 500th wedding. Needless to say, I have a lot of experience in assisting you down the path to begin your life's journey with your beloved. I am an Army trained public speaker. That means your family and loved ones will hear and enjoy your ceremony. I do not mumble. lol. When we meet, I will give you a packet of information. The first part is the rules and regulations for getting married in NYS. The rest of the packet contains possible ideas for your unique ceremony. Once you have approved the final version of your ceremony, I will print it up in a nice font, on parchment and place it in a nice booklet. I will use it during your ceremony. Then, I will leave it with you, when I leave. I call it the "Owner's Manual" for your marriage. It has all of your hopes, dreams and promises in it, to help you down the sometimes bumpy road of marriage. It is helpful to reread when the storm clouds come and also on your anniversaries. Wedding Ceremony Services
We will meet as many times as you determine that we need to meet. Meetings can be in person, by telephone, email or, most popular these days, by Face Time. Most couples require only one or two meetings, but that is entirely up to you. As I stated in my description, I will give you a packet full of information. One part is the Rules and Regulations for getting married in NY. I will go over that in detail with you. The rest of the packet is ideas for your custom written ceremony. I will hit some highlights of that with you as well. Should you wish to write your own wedding vows, we can meet again, as many times as needed, to accomplish this. I work with a contract and ask for a 50% retainer at the time of signing it. This can be done by mail if needed. I will wordsmith your ideas into your special ceremony, print it up (see my description once again- re: Owner's Manual) and perform your special ceremony. If I am available, I will attend your rehearsal, if there is one. Once you are married, I will get your marriage license signed by your witnesses, I will sign it and mail it in. Once I receive it from you, I take care of it from there. I will do anything that I might to ensure you have a wonderful wedding day.
