EPIC MEMORIES IN EPIC PLACES Your wedding photos are so much more than just an epic mountain backdrop for the 'gram. It's about the moments of make-your-stomach-hurt laughter with your person, intimate vows in a private place, your grandma tearing up during the ceremony, watching your first sunset together, the extra hug after the first kiss, and everything in-between. As your elopement photographer, I’m focused not only on those landscapes that make you swoon but also those moments that make your heart swell. Melt away the awkward, and embrace the memories head-on! Your photos will not only be beautiful, but so very meaningful. Remember that old family photo box full of memorabilia, old 4x6 albums, polaroids and ALL the memories and wedding photos? My family box is one of my favorite things to pull out when I visit my parents! It’s so exciting to flip through a part of the past and relive the memories that you may or may not have even been around for! Sadly, my parents only had a handful of photos from their wedding day. I so wish there were more to look back on. With this in mind, I believe it is not only important to have a photographer on your wedding day, but to have one that can offer you options and timeliness ways to display your photos from this special day, be that in wall art or albums, your memories should live on. ---------------- Oh hey, hi, hello, holaaaa! I'm so stoked that you're here!! Now that we have the formalities out of the way here’s the nitty gritty. So pull up a chair, sip some coffee or tea (or a mojito, whatever floats your boat) and read on! Growing up between Alaska and South America (Colombia, ayyy!) gave me a sense of adventure and an eye for the beauty in this world. I also saw firsthand how love spans the globe and reaches across cultures and between people. No matter our backgrounds, we all come together. Is it any surprise I became a wedding photographer? ;) ---------------- I picked up my first camera at age 12 when my Dad bought his first digital camera. He might as well have kissed that camera goodbye, because it never left my hands. As an angsty teen moving so often, photography gave me a grounding. I was separated constantly from friends on both continents, but photos connected me to them despite the distance. Honing my skills over the years on a series of point-and-shoot cameras, I grew into self-portraiture to experiment and then began photographing others. I was hooked. To this day, my favorite thing about being a photographer is watching my subject melt away the awkward and embrace who they are in front of my lens. I married my high school sweetheart at 18, so I’m a romantic at heart. When I photographed my first wedding, I knew it was my calling and what I was meant to do. Capturing other couples in love and seeing them feel allllll the feels on their big day and being able to give them a photography experience that truly captures that is just incredible!
